MATH
The enVision Integrated program with online components is vertically aligned to support students through middle school. enVision develops deep math connections and lasting understanding through student investigations and experiences that focus on the why, what, and how of mathematics.

R.U.L.E.R. Social Emotional Learning is an evidence-based approach to social and emotional learning (SEL) developed at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.
SCIENCE
Science comes alive through Amplify’s hands-on, inquiry-based units. Amplify is a K–8 phenomena-based science curriculum that blends hands-on investigations, literacy-rich activities, and interactive digital tools. The result? Elementary and middle school students who think, read, write, and argue like real scientists.

Cross Grade Townhalls
Book Clubs
Led by students, Book Clubs meet during class time sporadically throughout the year to share and discuss thoughts, wonders, feelings and questions about chosen titles. We finish each four-week club with a themed celebration as chosen by the students.
Students vote from a preselected, recommended list of titles chosen to represent different voices, experiences, interests and authors.
At this time, book clubs focus on intermediate students.

Cross Grade Reading Buddies
3rd, 4th, and 5th graders support our early readers in Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades through peer support and consistent reading buddy time.

Guest experts often join our classrooms to share their expertise and help students understand how their lessons apply to the world around them.

Global Reading Challenge
Open to 4th and 5th Graders... this competition is between November 1st and mid-February. Participants work individually, with buddies and in teams to read and discuss as many of the eight GRC selections as desired.
Mixed grade (4/5) teams are formed in December based on (optional) student interest surveys completed during library class. Teams meet for about an hour each week until our in-school competition sometime in February. The winning school team competes in early March semifinal at the Seattle Public Library downtown.
Marathon Running Program
Open to all grades, Stars are encouraged to "run it out" before school. Throughout the year they accrue cards that represent the number of laps around the playground they have done. Students are given other opportunities to run as well.
After card 26, your Star is now a Marathoner and gets to attend a Marathoner lunch at the end of the year!
Jump-a-thon
The Jumpathon allows Stars to practice their jump roping skills while raising money for their schools' future events.

After-School Enrichment (ASE)
The Stevens After-school Enrichment (ASE) Program is a PTA-Stevens School partnership with local enrichment vendors supporting fun and enriching activities for the students at Stevens.

Dedicated on-site building
Stevens has been home to Kids Club for over 20 years. Kids Club uses Stevens outdoor spaces and the gymnasium for their daily programming.
While the Kids Club building is an important part of daily life at Stevens, the staff are just as essential. Kids Club educators work closely with Stevens teachers and administrators to ensure seamless transitions before and after school for every child. Through this strong partnership, Kids Club staff support students’ learning, routines, and overall well-being, strengthening the continuity between school and childcare.

Age appropriate rooms & curriculum
Three rooms that often come together outdoors create age-appropriate spaces for Kindergartens, 1st - 2nd, 3rd - 5th.
Holiday & Summer Programs
Kids Club is open after school on Wednesdays (early release), as well as avilable during many holidays and weeks that SPS is not in session. They offer a full summer camp experiecne with themed weeks that you can enroll in one-by-one.
Supports Community Schools
While Kids Club has been a cornerstone of the Stevens community for over 20 years, KC serves the broader community schools including TOPS, Montlake, Lowell, Thurgood Marshall, and Independent School Students.

Our 100+-year-old landmark building stands as a cornerstone of the neighborhood, thoughtfully modernized to meet contemporary needs while preserving its historic architecture. Recent updates reflect our community’s commitment to sustainability, including water-bottle filling stations, energy-efficient systems, and solar panels that support long-term stewardship of our shared environment. The outdoor grounds offer spaces designed for active play and connection—a large playground, track, kickball courts, and a covered basketball court that serve students and families throughout the year. Inside, the cafeteria and gym addition provides a versatile hub for daily learning and community gatherings, complete with a climbing wall and a stage for performances, assemblies, and events that bring our community together.
Located directly across from Interlaken Park and just two blocks from Volunteer Park, the school offers daily access to nature, outdoor learning, and public green space.
