Monday Classes


3rd Grade - 5th Grade
Animal & Wildlife Art with Willow - $185
Draw, paint, sketch, and color nature scenes and animal art with professional artist, illustrator, and wilderness enthusiast Willow Heath. Students will vote on which animals the class will draw. Each class will focus on different artistic skills, nature themes, animals, and art mediums. Red pandas, snowy mountains, and tigers, oh my! Art with Willow was awarded Parents Choice for best Enrichment program of 2021.

Kindergarten - 1st Grade
Chess: Beginner - $216
This is a great class for absolute beginners who are starting at square one. In this class students will learn how the pieces move and capture and what is a checkmate. Instructor, Michael Adams specializes in working with our youngest students and giving them a great introduction to chess that lasts a lifetime.

2nd Grade - 5th Grade
Chess: Beginner to Intermediate - $216
For students who already know the basics and are ready for the next step. Students with a little chess playing experience are invited to join other developing chess players in fun game play. Students will learn new chess ideas and steadily improve their decision-making skills. Students explore opening ideas, middle game tactics, and end game strategy in class through hands-on play. Students will be introduced to historically important games and given the opportunity to practice these observed strategies in their own games. Students are encouraged to practice their chess and participate in selected chess tournaments throughout the school year.

3rd Grade - 5th Grade
Spanish: Beginner - $207
Sponge language classes are immersion based and designed to instill a love of language and culture while developing language skills. Teachers use communicative approach, with lots of movement, games, music, props and gestures that allow everyone to join in the fun. Young learners are primed for language learning - research shows that students are 70% more likely to gain fluency when they begin in elementary school or younger. Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
Mixed Media Art - $270
Stevens’ very own art teacher extraordinaire, Ms. Quenzer, will guide your students on a artistic journey to use a combination of different materials to create a variety of art projects focused on using recycled materials such has wood pieces, fabric, string with paint to create unique pieces of art! Materials costs included.
Thursday Classes


Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

3rd Grade - 5th Grade
Pottery and Clay Sculpture - $270
Stevens’ very own art teacher extraordinaire, Ms. Quenzer, will offer an introduction in clay construction, including hand, slab and coil building along with sculpture. Students will create several unique pieces using the various techniques taught in this course.

3rd Grade to 5th Grade
Dungeons & Dragons Student Club - $20
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CLUB MEETS FROM 4PM-5PM* Meany 8th graders and Stevens' alums students, Miriam Gaster, Samuel Hunter, Harper "Boz" Judd will be your campaign guides in an adventure filled game of storytelling, problem solving, and creativity in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. No prior experience necessary but come prepared to learn and participate in this popular role-playing, interactive game that has captured millions over the last 50+ years! Stevens’ Librarian, Tanya Kamila, would serve as Advisor during each club meeting. Meany students and Ms. Kamila are volunteering their time to run this club so please recognize and be respectful of their efforts. $20 for materials (dice, handbook).
IMPORTANT NOTE ON TIME: DnD Club will only meet for 6 weeks: 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16 from 4-5PM. As this student club is led by middle school students, the club meets at a later time at 4p in the Stevens Library. Students who would like to participate in the club would need to make arrangements to come back to the school by 4p and be picked up at 5p. Kids Club students would be dismissed back to KC at the end of the club meeting. If your student wants to participate but cannot return back to the school by 4p and does not attend Kids Club, please email programs@stevenspta.org to see if special accommodations can be made.
